This is Dixie Madison Urban Country Entertainer Cover for her Campaign Brand Book.  The concept of the brand campaign book is to make you think of a fashion magazine, similar to Vogue Magazine.  Dixie Madison's brand represents both music and fashion.  

Her Campaign Brand Book is her Style Guide and is more detailed than her Brand Vision Book.  It focuses on her brand profile, brand assets, brand usage guidelines, prototypes and brand strategies.  Creating Dixie Madison's Brand Campaign Book catalogues her specific brand profile that consist of her logo, tagline, narrative, color concepts, typography, imagery, patterns, etc.

The first step in creating Dixie Madison brand assets was designing a logo.  I sketched five preliminary logos that communicated Dixie Madison's style.  I created a survey and targeted to her demographics to see which survey appealed to her market.  Here are the results to the SurveyMonkey.com:

The respondents like three (3) of the logos and rated them equally, numbers 2, 3, and 5. Dixie Madison, her management & marketing team prefer logos 2 and 3 equally. All the respondents thought that the chosen logo, color scheme, Americana & Hippie concept, name, brand description, and country/pop music genre are cohesive to her brand image. Respondents also thought she had an aesthetics image that were a combination of Taylor Swift & Jessica Simpson. As for their actual written comments, they describe the brand image and logo as:

Girly
Carefree
Happy
Dope
Fashionable
Feminine
Light

Basically, being the design team; the results are in alignment to the goals in creating Dixie Madison’s brand image profile.

Creating Dixie Madison’s brand assets, I found it more useful to create a high fidelity prototype vs. low and medium fidelity that is more simpler and less labor intensive.  Every designer and artist have their own process that works for them.  Reason being, it helps me as the designer; after my sketching process, to go beyond and see all of the elements in real time and real life.  This way I’m able to iterate faster; solve issues; see what works; transcend the moment and imagine the possibilities.  As writer, Chelsea Larsson points out in her article, “Why Iteration Is a Designer’s Best Friend and Not the Enemy”, she says in each phase of the iteration, it’s a performance that culminates into one show stopping final act.  Iterations allows you to work through design problems and imagine the possibilities kinetically.
